Troubleshooting slush machines
Please note that the solutions to problems with your slush machine shown here are only suggestions. If they do not help you, you can always contact our technical support.

Slush machine does not freeze at all
Possible causes and solutions
Capacitor is clogged
Remove dust from the condenser (ventilation grille on the left side of the machine).
Insufficient ventilation
Make sure that there is always at least 20cm distance between the machine and other equipment, otherwise the hot air cannot escape.
Several devices on one circuit
Try to have only one slush machine in a circuit at a time and also avoid having other devices, such as waffle irons or coffee machines, connected to a multiple socket strip. It may be helpful to unplug other devices for a few minutes, as the slush machine’s starting current is highest at the beginning.
Slush machine does not freeze (one side)
Possible causes and solutions
Capacitor is clogged
Remove dust from the condenser (ventilation grille on the left side of the machine).
Insufficient ventilation
Always keep at least 20 centimetres distance between the machine and other equipment, otherwise the hot air cannot escape.
Is the typical click missing on this side?
In this case the microswitch could be defective. Please contact our technical support.
Constant loud clicking of the slush machine
Possible causes and solutions
Sugar content of the slush ice is too low
Always make sure that the slush syrup and water are mixed in the correct proportions, otherwise the slush machine may be seriously damaged.
Outer auger is defective
If you find that the outer auger is defective, you can order a new auger from the MonsterSlush team. Spare parts for slush machines type SPEEDYMAXX are usually in stock.
One side of the slush machine does not rotate
Possible causes and solutions
Machine was assembled incorrectly
Check that:
- All necessary switches are in the correct position
- The container of the slush machine is hooked in the front (on the 2 feet)
- The outer shaft guide was used (plastic ring in the container behind the tap system)
- The suction seal (on the cylinder) has been greased with sufficient Vaseline
Lighting of the slush machine does not work
Possible causes and solutions
Wrong mode of the slush machine
Check that the slush machine is in night mode. If so, it is normal that the lighting is not activated. The machine only cools in night mode, it does not make slusheis.
Light bulb is burnt out
In this case please contact our slush machine service.
Cable defective
Check the cables leading to the cover for breaks and faults.
Slush machine leaks (Front section and tap system)
Possible causes and solutions
Seals not used
Check that all gaskets of the dispensing system have been inserted correctly and are greased with Vaseline.
Seals defective
Check the gaskets. They should be replaced from time to time when they are worn out. Seals for slush machines are available directly from MonsterSlush.
Slush machine leaks (Back section and drip tray)
Possible causes and solutions
Container not correctly positioned
Check that the container is completely hooked in at the front. Also check whether the shaft seal and the outer shaft guide are inserted.
Faulty vessel seal
Check that the container seal (large seal on the cooling cylinder) has been fitted correctly. If it is very worn, you should replace the container seal.
Vessel defective
Check the container of the slush machine for cracks.
